A rather unusual variation on the ancient instrument, called an armillary sundial. I'll be including an explanation and diagrams here soon.

The sundial is cast in bronze. The plinth is open aggregate concrete with inset bronze lettering.

The sunlight shines though a slot in the gnomen to cast a band on a guage on the inner surface of the horizontal arc. It is amazingly accurate.
